knock on my door, and very politely ask to use the phone, or the
bathroom. He would always call me "Ma'm" and I would joke.."don't call me
that..makes me feel so OLD". Nicky was killed in a gang shooting in
Seattle. He was only 14. Just a baby. I don't know if he was saved or not,
but I pray that he was. I remember the way he always respected me. He
knew the other gang was after him and he hid out for a long time. We put
missing posters up all over and he would sneak out and tear them down.
When he was hiding I spoke with his grandfather. His grandfather said,
Nicky will amount to no good, he's better off dead. A month later he
was dead. It was poverty and wanting to be loved that killed him. Me and
my son will never forget him. We hope he is in the arms of Jesus, safe
for eternity.
