Graffiti Art

J One from the Gospel Graffiti Crew

That line from the old Notorious B.I.G. joint, “Juicy”, is how things have gone with me, (except for that last part about Robin Leech; I’m still working on getting my money right before that happens!). But growing up in the Bronx, NY, everyone was a common thief. We stole what we wanted and/or needed: a pack of gum, a stick-ball bat, a pair of jeans. Sometimes we’d even steal from each other, then have a fist-fight, then be boys again the next day. continued…

Are gang’s worth it?

Ok, first off, the whole reason I joined up on this
site is cause I like what is says. Tryin to get ppl up
off the streets, and turn their lives around before
its too late. I know this first hand. Not only did I
jus mess up my own life, but I lost my daughter when
she was 1 and a half yrs.old.

Then my husband went for his revenge, and you know the
rest–I lost him too.

I’ve lost countless numbers of homeboys, and
homegirls, and more family members to the streets
also. What is this? The gang life is not what its
cracked up to be. And I’ve BEEN THERE, and know what
its like. For anyone that has ever lost a child to the
gang life, I send my love and respects to you, and
also a prayer that your ok, and anyone wanna talk hit
me up.

Any girls out there that are in some kind of situation
like mine, please take time to read my story on Gspot.
Me and lil mac know what were talkin about. Shes very
lucky to still have her children in her life, but I
wasnt so lucky. And please dont think it couldn’t, or
won’t happen to you–cause that’s so wrong.

People think it takes strength and you have to be
strong to be in a gang, but it takes even more
strength, and proves that your even stronger if you
have the strength to get OUT… Before countless homies,
your children, your vato, somone else in your familia,
or maybe even YOU gets injured or even killed by the
gang life.

Just realize that its not worth it; and if any ladies
wanna talk, I love to help people so please hit me up
if you find yourself in a situation like mine.

Take care Everyone.

Urban Ministry: What is the Urban Missionary Project (The UMP)?

This from Brother Doulos on our team:

The UMP is an educational, multi-media Campaign designed to scrub away the Ignorance of the Urban Christian and Christendom as a whole. American Church Organizations send Hundreds of Thousands of missionaries to evangelize the world; yet we neglect to impact our own country.  Does you church have a functional active program for community evangelism?  If so your part of the small minority, sadly we losing more Christians to the world, then we bring into the Church.

What is the purpose of the Campaign?

Our mission is threefold; first, we must re-establish a health Fear of God (Psalms 33:8), second, we must restore The Name of Our Lord.  Third we must restore the Message of Consecration and Holiness to the Body of Christ.

To do this encouraging the Christian community (Parents, Christian Music/Retail Industry, Christian Business, Pastors, Youth Leaders, Laypersons, Churches) to boycott any influential Person, Organization, or Corporations that make Statements, Publish the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Why is the Campaign needed?

The UMP is needed because we’re losing our saltiness (Matthew 5:12).  The church is being trampled under the foot of men. We are no longer effective because we are now of this world.  The UMP was breathed to shake things up

is this a Hip Hop Movement?

Absolutely not! Actually a dear brother and friend was having trouble with his children and secular music and he compelled me (Full Arm Twisting) to return to music. For that I am forever grateful because Hip Hop/Rap music is the mouth piece and Main influence on this generation and many to come.

How Can I Get Involved?

The first thing is make sure this is more than just a good thing for you.  Urban Missionary work is hard stuff.  God will show you this you may not want to see or admit.

Second, please take this Spiritual Gifts test; we believe a believer is most effective and passionate working in the area of their gifting: http://www.kodachrome.org/spiritgift/

Third, consider committing $10 per month to West Coast Urban Missions we would like to have a Budget of about $30,000 in 2010.

Lastly, Get and read this book “Pagan Christianity” http://www.paganchristianity.org/

Others was to help:

• Pray
• Volunteer your time
• Give a Love offering
• Donate Your Talents
• Donate Your Facilities
• Stop investing your entertainment Dollars into the World, and Invest them in Kingdom Building.

It is critical that this program have the support and Prayers of the Body of Christ. We must get invested, in our communities, our young adults; consider when you were them, wishing someone would do something.

Gang poems

Read all our gang poems.

Krazy

Krazy,
is crawlin,
through the streets,

Brawlin,

with any kid,
who thinks that he got a problem,
ive met that kid,
but my homies shot him,
wronged him,
when i could have taught him,
bout hittin rock bottom,
when ya murder an robbin,
krazy,
is killin,
livin with villains,
dying as children,
but we think that we chillin,
but this aint livin.
Krazy,
is knowing,
going as the winds blowin,
kicking beats an flowing,
watchin ya boy die,
an let go him.
